The My-Ma Festival is a traveling event dedicated to the dramaturgy of myth and the mask, which, after being hosted in Montreuil-sur-Mer (France) in 2023 and in Opole (Poland) in 2024, concludes its journey this year in Ascoli. The Ascoli event, organized by the project leader COMPAGNIA DEI FOLLI and involving around 30 street theatre, circus, and other performing arts companies and performers from across Europe, will also host the final showcase of the Myths & Masks of the Future project, with the participation of representatives from some of the most important European festivals in the field. A major symposium on the tradition of the mask and the revival of the stage languages connected to it is also scheduled, featuring scholars from the four corners of the world.
